Player Welfare / Medical
Welcome to the Player Welfare / Medical Education modules. These courses are aimed at providing health care professionals; doctors, nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists, sports trainers, sports rehabilitationists and other registered health care professionals (HCPs) and allied health care practitioners working in rugby, with the clinical skills to assess, diagnose and deliver advanced care while achieving stabilisation and packaging for removal to a safe area awaiting the arrival of further advanced care provision. PHICIS Level 2
The PHICIS Level 2 course is aimed at those health care professionals (HCPs) and Allied HCPs working in the community game (Level 3 leagues and below and CB representative rugby). The accreditation for the Level 2 lasts for two years. . Pre-Requisites: Must be at least 18 years old on event start date.
PHICIS Level 3
The PHICIS Level 3 course is a requirement for those Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Allied HCPs working within professional rugby, including the Premiership, the Championship and with national teams. Please note: You must be a qualified HCP or Allied HCP and be on a register to attend this course. Sports Therapists and GSRs must have studied to degree level and successfully complete a PHICIS Level 2 course, or equivalent, before progressing to PHICIS Level 3. The accreditation for the Level 2 lasts for two years. Pre-Requisite: Must be at least 18 years old on event start date.
